The Doors and Gates (regulation 18) 1993 stipulates that all doors and shutters SHALL BE the subject of an appropriate maintenance program. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PROSECUTION IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
A UK Doors & Shutters Ltd service will contribute to your company’s health and safety requirements as shown in the Workplace Regulations Act 1992 – Regulation 5. You will be contacted prior to UK Doors & Shutters Ltd attending site to arrange a suitable time working around you. We aim to cause as little disruption to your working day as needs be. Once a service has been carried out a detailed report is issued. Should there be any repairs after the service has been done then a separate quotation for these works will be forwarded to yourselves. A UK Doors & Shutters Ltd Service includes the following:
Check all safety devices.
Fully inspect all mechanical parts.
Adjust locks if required.
Apply lubricants to all relevant parts.
Fire doors- mechanically test to ensure closure in event of fire.
Check all electrics.
Secure any loose fixings.
